Many people have been put off the idea of solar panels, possibly due to the recent trend of homeowners covering the roofs of their houses with ugly looking solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, whilst taking advantage of cash back schemes being offered by the major electricity companies. While these schemes are still available, they are not as lucrative as they once were so it is important to ensure that your solar thermal solutions are carefully selected and installed correctly.
There are two different types of solar installations available. Solar Photovoltaic (PV – Photovoltaic Systems), which feed your electric and take up the whole roof, and Solar Thermal systems, which provide hot water to save on gas consumption and are generally one or two panels.
